If You Are Going or Are Considering Traveling to Sacramento

Several families are driving up and back on Saturday. We suggest leaving at 5 a.m.

SCCS has rented a charter bus for students to travel there and back (there will be chaperones). There are a handful of seats still available. The cost is $60 which includes same-day round trip, championship t-shirt, and game ticket. Students will need to bring extra money for lunch, snacks, and dinner.

There will be a waiting list if necessary; this requires you to be available at the last minute. These are available on a first-come first-serve basis.

The bus leaves SCCS promptly at 5 a.m. so please arrive early. If you will be leaving a car at the school, please park it on the street in front of the school. We cannot guarantee you will be able to get your car out of the lot. The bus will return to SCCS at 10 p.m.

Several families are also driving up on Friday and staying through Saturday. There are also several families driving up on Saturday morning and leaving Sunday. The hotels immediately surrounding the arena run for more than $200/night and most are $300 to $400 per night. But, hotels a few miles away run from $125 to $200 per night.

In the surrounding areas, there are several eating options. The Golden 1 Center is located in the middle of the “Downtown Commons.” You can find several eating options there by CLICKING HERE.

There is also the “Old Sacramento Historic District” that is less than 1 mile from the arena (approximately 2-3 minute walk). There are several eating options there as well. This is also a family friendly area with plenty of things to do. To learn more about this area visit
